Thanksgiving Thankful Wreath Project for K/1
Here is a fun enrichment craft project for the Thanksgiving holiday. A simple white paper plate forms the basis for this Thankful Wreath. Download the master and duplicate leaves in red, yellow, and orange. Cut the leaves out 3 or 4 pages at a time and give each child a variety of colors and shapes. Brainstorm what children in the class are thankful for and have them write one word on each leaf. After cutting out a piece for the center hole of the wreath, children glue leaves around the paper plate and glue on the words, “I am thankful for….” This project gives children a purpose for reading and writing important words in their lives.
